Himalayan Pink Salts originate from the Himalayan Massif which some 250 million years ago forced its way between Tectonic plates from the ancient sea bed producing these quite unique crystalised pink salts with their own unique qualities which include having more minerals than Dead Sea Salts .

These pink salts have been harvested from this site for over 3000 years and remain pure due to the lack of pollution and nitrates, they are valued for their quality throughout the world.

It is mined in the Khewra Salt Mines, the second largest salt mine in the world, located in Khewra, about 160 kilometres from Islamabad, and 260 kilometres from Lahore.

The magic of pink salt

Himalayan pink salt isn’t any normal salt. It contains 84 minerals and trace elements that are highly beneficial for the body including magnesium, calcium, copper, potassium and iron.

 The book Salt & Water by Dr Barbara Hendel claims that a 30 minute soak in a bath filled with 1kg of Himalayan Salt has the same detoxing effect as a three day fast.

Harvested from high in the Himalayan mountain range, Himalayan pink salt isn’t just pretty to look at, it’s good for you, too. Himalayan pink salt can be used for cooking, in spa treatments and in cosmetics. It can also be used as a natural healing treatment.

If you require it to be finer for your cooking just use it though an ordinary salt mill.

According to the website The Greater Green. “Regular consumption of Himalayan pink salt provides essential minerals, trace elements, balances electrolytes, supports proper nutrient absorption, eliminates toxins, balances the body’s pH, normalizes blood pressure, and increases circulation and conductivity,”

The recommended dosage is 500 grammes in a bath of water.
